An accident, said the police.

An accident, said the widow. She had been warning her husband about the danger of the car for months.

Murder, said the famous detective Lord Peter Wimsey - and proceeded to track down the killer.

This is vintage Sayers, a collection of her finest crime and detection stories.

'I admire her novels...she has great fertility of invention, ingenuity and a wonderful eye for detail.' Ruth Rendell

'Brilliant little problems in detection!' Daily Telegraph

'She brought to the detective novel originality, intelligence, energy and wit.' P. D. James

When I was a kid I used to love detective novels, primarily Agatha Christie, but pretty much anything would do. I've grown out of that phase, but I do remember how I enjoyed Lord Peter Wimsy, and his foppish humour. When I say a set of three Sayers novels I decided to see if my memory serves me well, and if they're as funny as I remember.
