At last Adrian Mole has reached maturity, of a sort. It's 1991, he's now 23¾ and employed by the Department of the Environment to monitor newts. Aside from that all his old frustrations, obsessions and maladjustments show no signs of abating.

 

 
I grew up alongside Adrian Mole, and read each of his diaries around the time of publication (I'm even talking about him like he's real!!). I'm currently rereading all five books, so when I saw this collection of the first four (with additional bits) I thought I should buy a copy to add to my first edition signed copy of the first book, and my many different editions I've come across over the years. I'll always have a very special place in my heart for Moley.
